My Tarot Journey

Like many, I grew up with a lot of misconceptions about tarot and divination. However, as I let go of outdated beliefs, and began embracing my own spirituality, I grew curious. What could these strange and sometimes jarring images full of complex symbolism tell me about myself and my own life story?

Time and time again, the cards showed me when I was blindly following a path that would lead me nowhere, and steered me toward a more grounded course of action. As I shared this newfound knowledge with friends, they began asking me to read for them and Silvery Magpie was born!

Much of my learning over the years has been self directed, through studying the works of respected authors such as Paul Fenton-Smith, T Susan Chang, Mat Auryn and Dreya Blume. More recently, I undertook a course of study with Little Red Tarot. Their Alternative Tarot Course was instrumental in deepening my relationship with the cards, and allowing me to fully engage with my intuition in readings. The Study of tarot and divination is a lifelong journey and I continue to embrace new knowledge and perspectives on a daily basis.
