FAQ

What happens during a tarot reading?

In-person readings last up to 45 minutes. In that time, we’ll chat about your question and I’ll choose a spread that best meets your needs. We can then draw as many cards as we need to gain clarity. My aim is always to help you to feel empowered, so you’ll leave with some advice, or action you can take. Any information shared with me is confidential and will not be shared with anyone unless there is a concern for an individual’s safety and I am legally obliged to do so.

How do I prepare for a session?

No specific preparation is needed. A tarot reading works best when it is an open conversation between the client and reader. Just bring an open mind and your questions. If you would like to take some notes, you may wish to bring a notepad and pen. You are also welcome to take a photo of the spread for your own personal use.

Are readings available online?

I currently offer three card and seven card readings by email, delivered in a printable PDF format. These can be purchased via my Ko-Fi page. I will never send you unsolicited messages on social media to sell you readings or other spiritual services.

Can tarot tell me the future?

It is my view that the future is not fixed. We have free will and the power to change direction. Whilst a tarot reading can predict likely outcomes based on the current circumstances and flow of energy, no reading can be guaranteed to be 100% accurate. The actions that we, and other people take, and the decisions we make on a daily basis all contribute to the outcome of any given situation.

Are there any limitations, or questions you cannot answer?

Tarot is not a substitute for medical or financial advice. I cannot diagnose a health condition for you, or give you a medical prognosis. Neither can I give direct advice about the future success of financial investment. I will not claim to diagnose any kind of curse, energetic problem or ‘crossed condition’, or sell you magical services to remedy such issues. By booking a reading with me, you confirm that you are over the age of 18, and are fully responsible for any actions you decide to take following a reading.

What decks do you typically use?

I usually work with tarot decks based on the Rider Waite Smith system. I have both traditional decks with Pamela Colman Smith’s artwork, and modern decks from various artists. You are welcome to choose a deck from my collection that you feel most drawn to. Otherwise, I will choose the deck that I feel is most appropriate for your question. In addition, I usually have a couple of oracle decks on hand. These can add depth to a reading, or just provide a little inspiration for the day.
